The course is very good, the explanations and repetition allow you to understand the different facets of using your sonar, traditional, side scan, down scan, all of the things that would otherwise take you months or years of trial and error to learn on your own. He has a solid understanding of how to not only use but teach the concepts. The biggest knock I've seen online is that you could get this information for free on YouTube or Reddit, etc. which is what almost kept me from signing up. Well, I checked, and you can not.. And if you can, it will take you 20X as long to do it that way. The three courses in total took me somewhere around 3 hours. So if you want to spend 60 hours to save 100 bucks, do the math and understand the value here may not be proprietary information but simply a solid, succinct and well delivered resource to teach you what you need to know in a fraction of the time it would otherwise take you. Good job on the delivery Hugh.

It’s incredible how much I didn’t know that I didn’t know about my lowrance elite. Fishfinder coach, with Photos and simple explanations, really helped me understand what I was working with. I’m not as proficient with tech as I should be. I would say I was only utilizing about 50% of the functions available on my fish finder. I will buy other modules.
Can active target dialed in with the step by step guide. It was east to follow and get things dialed in. I can now see by bait hit the water. Would recommend to other. s

Took the time to watch all the videos and do a preliminary setup on my Ghost, Active Target 2, and HDS live graphs. Fished for a month trying to familiarize then just watched all the videos again. Trust me, the second time helps it all sink in. These products are excellent. Now I see the return on investment of my hardware and software! Thanks. I bought three products and now buying two more. The PDF provides solid guidance on sonar settings for the Garmin GT56. It’s originally designed for U.S. bass fishing, so some presets aren’t perfectly suited for European freshwater predators like perch, pike, and zander. Still, the recommended settings are a clear improvement over the factory defaults and serve as an excellent starting point for fine-tuning your own setup. Overall, very useful — just not perfectly optimized for European conditions.
I’ve bought several programs from Hugh, and he always does an amazing job showing how to use electronics in a way that’s easy to understand. He’s quick to respond to any questions on his website and truly cares about helping people. Hugh is one of the kindest and most honest people I’ve ever met—always patient and hands-on.
I highly recommend anything Hugh offers. So much money gets spent on equipment that’s hard to figure out, but Hugh explains everything clearly and makes learning enjoyable. You can tell he really loves what he does and wants others to feel confident using their devices.
